After all nine candidates interviewed on 04 June, 2021, by public headhunter – PESB, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), has finally constituted a search committee for finalize the name for the new CMD of ONGC. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the following proposals of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
a) Selection to the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) through a Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC)
with the following composition:
(i) Chairperson – Chairperson, PESB
(ii) Member – Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas
(iii)Member – Shri B. Ashok, ex-Chairman, IOCL (Outside expert of eminence)
b) Consideration of Central Government Officers including those of the Armed Forces
of the Union and the All lndia Services for the post on immediate absorption basis.
