AIACE Serves Notice For Staging One Day Demonstration On January 22, 2024, At CIL, HQ, Kolkata & SCCL Office, Kothagudem

The All India Association of Coal Executives, through its convenor, Shri P.K. Singh Rathore, has served a demonstration notice at Coal India Limited Headquarters and also at SCCL by coal executives, employees and pensioners, on January 22, 2024. Sub: Notice for staging a day long demonstration by working and retired Coal executives, employees and Pensioners on 22-1-2024 from 12 noon to 4 pm at (i) CIL, HQ, Kolkata & (ii) SCCL Office, Kothagudem

Dear Sir,

Your kind attention is drawn to our earlier communication to you vide AIACE/CENTRAL / 093 dated 5-10-2023 (Copy enclosed in Annexure-I), through which we had intimated you about our proposed demonstration to be held on 30-10-2023 at (i) CIL, HQ, Kolkata & (ii) SCCL Office, Hyderabad for fulfilment of our various demands like,

1. Awarding wage revision of employees under NCWA-XI in violation of DPE guidelines and creating pay conflict between executive and non- executive employees

2. Orphaning the present coal pensioners in the hand of an inefficient organization called CMPFO by allowing it free hand by BOT members (including representatives of management of CIL and SCCL on the board) which mismanaged the Pension Fund as blamed by CAG vide http://164.100.47.193/lsscommittee/Public20Accounts/17_Public_Accounts_36.pdf

Later on, we were made to understand after meeting the Chairman and DP, CIL on 16/10/2023 that CIL management is keen for an early resolution of these problems. As such, vide AIACE/CENTRAL / 097 dated 18- 10-2023, we had intimated about postponement of the demonstration, temporarily so that CIL works on our grievances and resolve them.

However, being dismayed over no visible progress observed in the past 2 months, in a meeting of members of AIACE & AICPA held on Zoom platform on 22-12-2023, members have resolved to stage the demonstration on 22nd January, 2024 at (i) CIL, HQ, Kolkata & (ii) SCCL Office, Kothagudem (Enclosure – II).

This may kindly be treated as notice of demonstration. Yours sincerely,
