BCCL CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal Graces IIM Ranchi Executive MBA 2026-28 Inauguration as Chief Guest

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) Manoj Kumar Agarwal attended the inauguration ceremony of the Executive MBA (2026-28) Batch at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi as the Chief Guest, where he interacted with faculty members and newly admitted students.

The ceremony was attended by the Director of IIM Ranchi, Deans of various departments, faculty members, and students. The event commenced with a formal welcome and an introduction of the new Executive MBA batch, following which Manoj Kumar Agarwal delivered the inaugural address.

Addressing the students, Agarwal emphasized that a positive attitude, discipline, leadership qualities, and ethical values should become an integral part of every management professional’s personality and career.

He said that management education goes beyond acquiring academic knowledge. According to him, it equips future leaders to develop innovative solutions to emerging business challenges while contributing meaningfully to organizational growth, societal development, and nation-building.

The BCCL CMD encouraged students to embrace teamwork and effectively apply their knowledge and skills for the benefit of both their organizations and society.

Drawing from his own academic journey, Agarwal shared his experiences as an Executive MBA student at IIM Ranchi. He said that the institute’s focus on leadership development, practical learning, and academic excellence played a significant role in shaping his professional career.

He advised students to make the best use of the institute’s academic resources, seek continuous guidance from faculty members, and learn from the diverse experiences of their peers throughout the programme.

Notably, Manoj Kumar Agarwal is an alumnus of IIM Ranchi, where he completed his Executive MBA. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mining Engineering from the Indian School of Mines.

At the conclusion of the programme, IIM Ranchi honoured the BCCL CMD with a memento in recognition of his presence and inspiring address. The inaugural ceremony ended with a formal vote of thanks.
