BCCL CMD Manoj Kumar Agrawal, Board of Directors Review Dugda Operations, Inspect 20 MW Solar Plant

Top management visits Dugda Area, reviews renewable energy initiatives as part of comprehensive operational tour

BCCL CMD Manoj Kumar Agrawal, accompanied by the company’s Board of Directors, undertook a comprehensive tour of the Dugda Area on Friday, reviewing key operational and infrastructure initiatives, including an inspection of the 20 MW Solar Plant.

The high-level delegation included Director (Technical/Operations) Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Finance) Rajesh Kumar, and Director (Technical/Projects & Planning) Rajiv Kumar Sinha. They were accompanied by General Manager (Washery) Sohail Iqbal, Project Officer (Dugda Coal Washery) Amit Kumar, and other senior officials of the Washery Division.

Prayers at Dugda Hill Temple

The visit commenced with a ceremonial puja at the renowned Dugda Hill Temple. CMD Manoj Kumar Agrawal prayed for the well-being of the BCCL family, the safety of employees and the overall development of the region.

Members of the temple committee accorded a warm traditional welcome to the CMD and Board members. During an interaction with the committee, discussions were held on issues concerning the temple’s development and associated initiatives.

Inspection of 20 MW Solar Plant

In the final leg of the visit, the CMD inspected BCCL’s 20 MW Solar Plant at Dugda and reviewed its operational performance and power generation status.

He received a detailed briefing on the progress of the project, plant operations and future plans. The CMD also provided necessary guidance to officials for ensuring efficient functioning of the renewable energy project.

Senior officials associated with the solar project were present during the inspection.

The visit reflected BCCL’s continued emphasis on operational excellence, infrastructure development and adoption of clean energy solutions alongside its core mining activities.
