BCCL: Coordination Meeting Held at Headquarters; Strict Instructions Issued on Production, Quality and Timely Execution
CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal directs all operational areas to boost coal production and dispatch, maintain strict quality standards, strengthen mine safety, and ensure timely execution of targets through greater accountability and coordination

A General Managers’ Coordination Meeting was held today at the Level-3 Auditorium of Koyla Bhawan, the headquarters of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), under the chairmanship of BCCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Manoj Kumar Agarwal.
The meeting was attended by Murali Krishna Ramaiah, Director (Human Resources), Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Technical/Operations), Rajiv Kumar Sinha, Director (Technical–Projects & Planning), Shri Rajesh Kumar, Director (Finance), J.K. Tiwari, DIG CISF, General Managers of all Areas, Heads of Departments, officers from the CMD Secretariat, and other senior officials.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review of the company’s operational performance was undertaken, covering coal production, dispatch, quality management, stock position, transportation and overall mining operations. Director (Technical/Operations) Sanjay Kumar Singh interacted with General Managers from all operational areas to assess production targets, achievements, dispatch performance and challenges being faced on the ground. He also provided guidance for addressing operational bottlenecks and improving efficiency.
Reviewing transportation-related issues, CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal directed officials to strengthen and streamline the dispatch system to ensure timely evacuation and lifting of produced coal. He emphasized that officers at all levels must clearly understand their responsibilities and remain accountable for delivering results.
While reviewing production and stock management, the CMD instructed that coal production should not decline under any circumstances. He stressed the need to prioritize dispatch alongside effective stock management and directed all operational areas to achieve substantial growth in both production and dispatch.
Manoj Agarwal also placed special emphasis on maintaining coal quality, stating that any compromise on quality would be unacceptable. He directed that any quality-related complaint should be immediately brought to the notice of the Chief Executive and resolved without delay. He further advised officials to identify regional constraints proactively and formulate effective action plans based on available resources to ensure achievement of targets.
Safety remained a key focus area during the meeting. The CMD directed strict adherence to all mine safety standards and called for maintaining an accident-free work environment across BCCL operations. He also instructed officials to keep a close watch on illegal mining activities and coal theft and take necessary preventive and corrective measures.
The meeting concluded with a strong message that all officers must work with coordination, discipline and commitment to achieve assigned targets and complete tasks within stipulated timelines.
Reaffirming its commitment to excellence, BCCL management reiterated that the company remains dedicated to safe, quality-driven and responsible mining operations.
