BCCL Inaugurates ‘Kalyan Mandapam’ to Boost Employee Welfare & Community Engagement
CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal reaffirmed BCCL’s commitment to employee welfare and community development

In a major step towards strengthening employee welfare and enhancing community infrastructure, Bharat Coking Coal Limited inaugurated its newly constructed multi-purpose complex ‘Kalyan Mandapam’ at Jagjivan Nagar, Dhanbad.
The facility was inaugurated by CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal, in the presence of senior leadership including Director (HR) Murali Krishna Ramaiya, Director (Technical/Operations) Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Finance) Rajesh Kumar, and Chief Vigilance Officer Aman Raj.

The event also saw active participation from Diksha Mahila Mandal, including President Archana Agarwal, Vice President Purbita Ramaiya, and Neeta Kumar, along with General Managers, department heads, senior officials, and employees.
A Hub for Welfare, Culture & Community
Addressing the gathering, CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal reaffirmed BCCL’s commitment to employee welfare and community development. He emphasized that ‘Kalyan Mandapam’ will serve as a vibrant hub for:

- Community gatherings
- Educational and institutional activities
He noted that such modern infrastructure not only enhances employee engagement but also strengthens the bond between the organization and the local community.

The newly built complex is equipped with contemporary amenities designed to host a wide range of programs and events. Importantly, the facility will be accessible not only to BCCL employees and their families but also to the general public, making it a significant addition to Dhanbad’s social infrastructure.

Following the inauguration, dignitaries toured the premises and appreciated the quality and utility of the facilities.
Honouring Academic Excellence
A special highlight of the event was the “Student Honors Ceremony 2025-26”, where meritorious students from BCCL project schools who excelled in Class 10 board examinations were felicitated. The CMD, Board of Directors, and Diksha Mahila Mandal members presented shields to the students, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence.
