BPCL Launches Bharatgas Lite ZIP with Instant LPG Connections, Express Delivery; Expansion to 100 Cities by August 15

State-run Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has launched Bharatgas Lite ZIP, a premium LPG service aimed at providing customers with instant new LPG connections, express cylinder delivery, and a lightweight composite cylinder for a faster and more convenient cooking gas experience. The new offering was launched by BPCL Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Khanna in the presence of Director (Marketing) Subhankar Sen.

Initially rolled out in Mumbai, Bharatgas Lite ZIP will be expanded to 100 additional cities across 24 states by August 15, 2026, enabling more households to access BPCL’s premium LPG service.

The service combines instant new LPG connection with express delivery, eliminating long waiting periods for customers seeking a new connection. It is built around BPCL’s Bharatgas Lite composite cylinder, which is significantly lighter than conventional steel cylinders and is designed to improve convenience and safety.

According to BPCL, the Bharatgas Lite composite cylinder offers several customer-friendly features, including:

• Lightweight design for easier handling
• Corrosion-free and rust-resistant body
• Visible LPG level indicator
• Enhanced safety features
• Modern and attractive design suitable for contemporary kitchens.

The company said Bharatgas Lite ZIP has been developed to meet the needs of today’s fast-paced urban lifestyle by delivering a seamless, smarter and premium LPG experience. The initiative also reflects BPCL’s continued focus on digital transformation and customer-centric energy solutions.

With the nationwide rollout planned over the coming weeks, BPCL expects Bharatgas Lite ZIP to strengthen its position in India’s LPG market by offering consumers quicker access to cooking gas services along with improved convenience and safety.
