CVOs Play Key Role in Vigilance Administration

Their responsibilities include promoting preventive vigilance, examining potential instances of misconduct, advising management on vigilance matters and supporting measures to improve transparency and accountability.
In public sector undertakings and government organisations, the vigilance mechanism is an important component of institutional governance and efforts to curb corruption.
The latest appointments bring new officers into these roles across five major public sector organisations and the Airports Authority of India.
