CISF-BCCL Coordination Meeting Focuses on Mine Safety, Tackling Illegal Mining
High-level meeting at Koyla Bhawan emphasizes technology-driven surveillance, stronger CISF coordination, and strict action against coal theft

A high-level coordination meeting between Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) was held at the company’s Koyla Bhawan headquarters, focusing on strengthening mine security, curbing illegal coal mining, and ensuring seamless operational activities.
The meeting was chaired by BCCL Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Kumar Agarwal, who underscored the critical role of CISF in maintaining both production continuity and security across the company’s operational areas.
Senior officials present at the meeting included Director (Human Resources) Murali Krishna Ramaiah, Director (Technical/Operations) Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Finance) Rajesh Kumar, Senior Security Advisor Vipul Shukla, and DIG CISF Jitendra Tiwari. General Managers, departmental heads, CISF officers, and personnel also participated, with Regional General Managers joining via video conferencing.
Deliberations during the meeting centered on enhancing mine security through technology-driven interventions, intensifying surveillance in vulnerable and sensitive zones, and ensuring stringent action against illegal coal mining and theft. The participants also stressed the importance of robust coordination between CISF and BCCL management to facilitate smooth production, transportation, and overall industrial operations.
Addressing the gathering, CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal highlighted that CISF’s contribution is vital to safeguarding assets and maintaining operational discipline. He called for heightened vigilance, proactive monitoring, and swift coordinated responses to curb illegal activities in mining areas. He reaffirmed BCCL’s commitment to fostering a safe work environment, protecting resources, and ensuring uninterrupted production.
DIG CISF Jitendra Tiwari outlined the force’s ongoing initiatives to enhance security measures and assured continued cooperation and improved effectiveness in coordination with BCCL.
The meeting concluded with detailed discussions on actionable strategies and security-related suggestions, aimed at reinforcing the protection of mining assets and ensuring a secure and efficient operational ecosystem.
