CM Directs Officials To Expedite Execution Of His Announcements
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat directed officials to lay special focus on expediting execution of works related to infrastructural development and provision of basic facilities. He said this in a meeting chaired by him to review the execution of the CM’s announcements in Pauri, Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag districts on Thursday.
Officials informed in the meeting that work on 116 out of 191 announcements had been completed in Pauri district with work underway on 75 announcements. In Uttarkashi district, work had been completed on 68 out of 123 announcements with work continuing on 55 announcements. Similarly, work on 22 out of 36 announcements has been completed in Rudraprayag district while work is underway on 14 announcements.
Reviewing work in Pauri district, Rawat said that special focus should be laid on development of infrastructural facilities. Well planned schemes should be made and work should be expedited to develop Raghunath and Lakshman temples at Devprayag and the Seeta Mata temple at Falswadi as part of a religious tourism circuit in order to encourage religious tourism. Work should be expedited to establish paragliding training centre and paramotors strip in Nayar valley. Rawat further said that parking problem in Srinagar should be resolved while electricity and water facilities should be ensured soon at National Institute of Technology.
Reviewing works in the Uttarkashi district, Rawat told officials to expedite construction of double storeyed parking facility in Uttarkashi. He also directed officials to speed up execution of works related to construction of parking facility in Yamunotri and Badkot, ropeway in Yamunotri and construction for drinking water supply in Badkot and Chinyalisaud. Reviewing the works in Rudraprayag, the CM directed officials to speed up works related to construction of roads. Proper arrangements should be made for signage for the convenience of tourists. Further, work on the drinking water schemes in Guptkashi and Ukhimath should also be expedited, he said.
Cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat, state minister Dhan Singh Rawat, MLAs concerned and senior officials were also present in the meeting.
