CMD RINL Releases Annual Training Calendar For The year 2024-25

2500 students were also provided internships in 2023-24

The Annual training calendar for the year 2024-25 (April’24 to March’25) was released by Shri Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL today (30-04-2024) at the Learning and Development Centre (L&DC) of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, today.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL appreciated the efforts of L&DC in bringing out the calendar. Shri Atul Bhatt lauded the efforts of the entire team of L&DC in imparting the required quality training to the youngsters which will enable them towards a bright career.

Smt. N Bhanu, GM (Training) & head of the department, L&DC gave a brief on the Training activities. The Training calendar contains details of 304 training programs to be conducted during 2024-25 by Learning and Development Centre (L&DC) of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant in the areas of Skill Development, Technology, Computer, Safety & Health related Training programs. Guidance from the Training Advisory Committee (TAC) headed by CGM (W)I/c and inputs from Training Needs Identification (TNI) Survey conducted amongst all departments of the plant was taken to draw the annual training plan.

Shri SC Pandey, Director (Personnel), RINL, Shri SK Hirani & Sri Ghanshyam Singh, Independent Directors of RINL, Shri Ajay Kumar Sobti, CGM (Works) I/c, Shri G Gandhi, CGM (HR) and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.

L&DC Organizes Skill Development, Technological and Refresher, Safety and Health related training programs for employees. During 2023-24 L&DC conducted almost 650 programs covering 14000 employees. To fulfil the Skill India initiatives and Organize skill development training programmes / certifications as per MoUs with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), New Delhi and Indian Iron and Steel Sector Skill Council (IISSSC), Kolkata. It also provides training for Apprentices over 1019 per year as required under the apprentice act 1961. It also conducts Skill Tests for selection of Skilled / Semi-skilled Contractual workforce. 2500 students were provided internships in 2023-24.
