Conference Titled “Ilyas Azmi Ki Hayat Wa Khidmaat” Organized In Memory Of Late Ilyas Azmi At Lucknow

A conference titled “Ilyas Azmi Ki Hayat Wa Khidmaat” was organized in the memory of Ilyas Azmi at Sahakaritha Bhawan, Lucknow. Former MP, Ilyas Azmi passed away at Apollo Hospital, Delhi on 5th June, 2023 due to illness.

Ilyas Azmi Saheb was born in Sadarpur Barauli, a small village of Azamgarh, Ilyas Azmi Saheb left behind his three sons Arshad Siddiqui, Shakeel Siddiqui and Dr. Aleem Siddiqui to serve the society. Today’s conference witnessed a jam packed Sahakaritha Bhawan.

In the conference, “Ilyas Azmi’s Hayat wa Khidmaat”, the work done by Ilyas Azmi Saheb while being a Lok Sabha MP was told to the attendees. All prominent guests shared the moments they spent with Ilyas Azmi and the social service work done by him.

In the conference, Honorable Lok Sabha MP, Shri Shyam Singh Yadav, former minister, Shivpal Singh Yadav, former minister, Honorable Swami Prasad Maurya, former minister, Shri Arvind Singh Gop, former minister, Honorable Abdul Mannan, former minister, K.K. Gautam, former minister – Shri Naseem Uddin Siddiqui, former judge – B.D. Naqvi, former minister of state – Hari Om Upadhyay, former I.A.S. And former Vice Chancellor – Dr. Anees Ansari, Municipality Chairman and former MLA Shahabad, Mr. Asif Khan ‘Babbu’, former Minister – Shakeel Nadvi, Mr. Amik Jamai, Mr. Hriday Ram, Member – UP Scheduled Caste Finance Development Corporation Ltd., Congress leader – Tariq Siddiqui, Shahi Imam of Tila Waleed Masjid, Janab Fazlul Manna Dargahdada, along with Sajjada Nashi Janab Farhat Mia, Abdul Nasi ‘Urdu’ other religious leaders, many senior lawyers, senior doctors, educationists, religious gurus, media persons, a large number of students etc. were present.

The live telecast of this event was also done on YouTube, which was watched by the people of the country and along with those from Lucknow, Lakhimpur, Hardoi etc. On this occasion, Poet Qasim Imam, Gulbootin Patrika chief Farooq Syed, social worker Saeed Khan, educationist Aamir Idrisi and Ubaid Khan arrived from Maharashtra. On this occasion, a booklet of works done by Ilyas Azmi was released and distributed among all the dignitaries present. All the people present in the conference expressed their gratitude with tears in their eyes. Ilyas Azmi Sahab’s son Arshad Siddiqui, Shakeel Siddiqui and Dr. Aleem Siddiqui, Shahbaz Siddiqui greeted all the people present in the meeting. In the end, Ilyas Azmi Sahab’s son Arshad Siddiqui thanked Shakhawat Khan, Arshad Ali and Adil Siddiqui for successfully organizing the program.
