Fill Up Vacancies, Scrap NPS And Withdraw OFB Corporatisation : CPI 24th Congress Passes Resolutions

The Party has resolved to extend all support and solidarity to Defence, Railways, PSU and State Government Employees

The 24th Congress of the Communist Party is in session at Vijayawada. In the 4th day of the Congress on the 17th of October 22 the following 3 resolutions were passed unanimously –

  1. To save the Public Sector and Govt Sector including Railways and Defence and to fill up more than 10 Lakh posts lying vacant in the Central Govt Organizations, 4 laks in the Public Sector Enterprises and more than 8 Lakhs in the State Govt Departments. Outsourcing and Contract employment should be dispensed with

2. Withdraw the Govt decision converting the 41 Ordnance Factories into 7 Corporations which is not in the interest of Defence preparedness of the Country . CPI demanded that the Ordnance Factories should be brought back to its status as a Govt Industry and full work should be provided to the 41 Ordnance Factories

3. Withdraw the No Guarantee Pension Scheme introduced for Central Government, State Government and PSUs like Banks, Insurance etc. and to restore the old pension scheme which is a Guaranteed Defined Pension Scheme.

C. Srikumar, who is also the General Secretary of All India Defence Employees’ Federation and Deputy General Secretary of WFTU, moved the above three resolutions which were unanimously adopted by the Congress.
