Indian Bureau of Mines inspects various major mineral mines every year and judges Mines based on various important parameters and acknowledges by presenting prizes.

Garbham Manganese Mine (GMM)has achieved overall 2nd prize in Medium large mechanized Mine category out of 22 mines in Hyderabad region (AP & Telangana states) which participated in the competition. GMM also won 4 prizes in various category competitions, namely, 1st prize in waste dump management and 2nd prize in the areas of sustainable development, mineral beneficiation, systematic and scientific development.

The prestigious prizes were given away at the 28th Mines Environmental and Mineral Conservation (ME&MC) week 2022-23 organised under the aegis of Indian bureau of Mines, Govt. of India (Hyderabad region) at Hyderabad on 05.03.2023 by Sri P N SHARMA, Chief Controller Of Mines (In-charge), Indian Bureau of Mines, Nagpur and was received by Sri V Vijay Vivekananda Sr. Manager (Mines) & unit head- Garbham Manganese Mines, RINL, Sri P Ramakrishna DGM ( Geology), RINL and Sri P Venkatesh, Mine Foreman, GMM, RINL.

In addition to the above, Jaggayyapeta Limestone mines (JLM) of RINL which competed with 22 mines under Large Mechanised Mines category at the ME&MC week 2023 and won the 2nd prize in Sustainable Development and 3rd prize in Mineral Beneficiation categories

Sri Sailendra Kumar, RCoM (Regional Controller of Mines), Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM), Hyderabad has given away the prizes. Sri B U V N Raju, DGM(Mechanical) & unit head- Jaggayyapeta Limestone Mines (JLM), RINL and Sri Kiran Kumar Singh, Sr Manager(Mines), JLM, RINL has received the prizes

In the Individual Category (Employees and Family category), employees working at Jaggayyapeta Limestone mines (JLM) of RINL won 1st prize in Poster competition, and 2nd prize in English Slogan and also the 1st prize in Hindi Essay Writing Under school children category

Smt Pawani w/o Sri P Kalyan, DM(Mines) won 1st prize in Poster Drawing and also the 2nd prize for her English Slogan.

In the School Children category – Ms. B Silvary, class-X, JDAV Public School, JLM Township won 1st prize in Hindi Essay Writing.
