The non-availability of CNG on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway (DME) had been a significant issue for travelers, forcing them to either rely on petrol and diesel or take alternate routes to access CNG. Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has addressed this problem by inaugurating new CNG stations on both sides of the DME.

These CNG stations are strategically located between Modi Nagar Cut and Ghaziabad in the rest area, ensuring convenient access for drivers. The inauguration was carried out by IGL Managing Director Kamal Kishore Chatiwal, who emphasized the necessity of these stations for the drivers.

Rahul Saxena, IGL’s Regional Commercial Manager, highlighted that the CNG will now be available 24/7 on the expressway, greatly benefiting the commuters. The swift completion of the project was acknowledged, and gratitude was expressed to the IGL team, including Director Commercial Mohit Bhatia, Chief Commercial Manager Rajeev Kumar, and Marketing Head Rahul Nigam, as well as officials from NHAI and the Toll Company.

The availability of CNG on the DME is expected to significantly improve the convenience for drivers who rely on this green fuel, making the expressway a more viable option for their travels.
