IOCL Panipat Refinery Tragedy : 2 Persons Dead
Teams from PNGRB and Petroleum Ministry to reach Panipat Refinery to investigate the incident.
On December 7, at around 03:00 PM, while the job of loading & unloading of catalyst in ERU (Ethylene Recovery Unit) of Panipat Naphtha Cracker Plant, Panipat was in progress by M/s CR3 India Pvt Ltd, a specialized agency contracted for the job, there was an incident of flash fire inside the vessel. During this incident, two contract workers employed with M/s CR3, namely Jaswinder Singh, Technician and Rahul Masih, Technician were injured. Unfortunately, both the technicians succumbed to their injuries. IndianOil is extending all possible support to the bereaved families.
The cause of the incident is being investigated. The situation is under control and all the plants are running normally.
