ITI Limited is India's first Public Sector Undertaking established after Independence

State-owned telecom technology company ITI Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with Airtel Business to help enterprises across India accelerate their digital transformation through next-generation connectivity, cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and IoT-enabled solutions.
The collaboration brings together the complementary strengths of ITI Limited, India’s first Public Sector Undertaking established after Independence, and Airtel Business, the enterprise arm of Bharti Airtel, to deliver integrated digital solutions that will enable organizations to modernize legacy systems, enhance operational efficiency, strengthen cybersecurity, and build resilient digital infrastructure.
The partnership comes at a time when Indian enterprises are rapidly embracing digitization in line with the country’s Digital India vision and increasing demand for secure, scalable, and future-ready technology platforms.
Under the collaboration, the two organizations will jointly offer a comprehensive portfolio of enterprise solutions, including high-speed connectivity, data centre and sovereign cloud services, Internet of Things (IoT), AI-powered business solutions, Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite services, cybersecurity, and advanced digital infrastructure.
The alliance aims to help enterprises overcome the challenges posed by fragmented legacy environments, growing cyber threats, increasing data requirements, and the need for greater business agility.
Expressing confidence in the partnership, Rajesh Rai, Chairman and Managing Director, ITI Limited, said the collaboration marks a significant milestone for both organizations. “We are extremely enthusiastic on this momentous occasion, wherein ITI Ltd. and Bharti Airtel Ltd. have come together with this MoU to offer state-of-the-art services and solutions to our customers. This collaboration will pave the way for jointly identifying and fulfilling customer requirements in digital transformation, ubiquitous high-speed connectivity, hyperscale data centres, cybersecurity solutions, IoT and much more while leveraging the complementary strengths of both organizations in business orientation, customer reach and manufacturing capabilities,” he said.
Sharat Sinha, CEO – Airtel Business, said the partnership aligns with India’s next phase of digital growth. “As India accelerates into its next phase of digital growth, building a foundation that is resilient, sovereign, and regulatorily compliant is imperative. As a trusted partner to enterprises across the country, Airtel Business has consistently helped organizations simplify complexity, transform legacy environments, and enable digitization at scale. We are delighted to partner with ITI Limited to create future-ready technology solutions that strengthen business continuity, unlock innovation, and support India’s secure digital-first future,” he said.
According to the companies, the collaboration will deliver nationwide digital and telecom infrastructure by combining enterprise-grade connectivity technologies such as Optical Fibre Cable (OFC), GPON, SD-WAN, and private 4G/5G networks with secure data centre and sovereign cloud services.
The integrated platform has been designed to cater to highly regulated sectors, including banking, financial services, government departments, and public sector enterprises. It will also provide industrial IoT-based asset tracking, AI-driven analytics, and comprehensive cybersecurity solutions to support mission-critical operations.
Beyond enterprise digitization, the partnership also aims to contribute to India’s defence and national security ecosystem by promoting innovation under the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
By combining ITI Limited’s manufacturing expertise and public sector experience with Airtel Business’ digital technology capabilities, the partnership is expected to play an important role in strengthening India’s digital infrastructure and enabling enterprises to achieve sustainable growth in an increasingly connected economy.
