Jaggayyapeta Limestone Mine (JLM) of RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant recorded its remarkable achievements at the Mines Environment and Mineral Conservation (ME & MC) Week 2023-24, held recently at Hyderabad, recently.
In the highly competitive “Large Mechanized Mines Category (Palnadu Group)”, JLM has secured prestigious awards, showcasing its commitment to excellence.
The accolades include:
2nd Prize towards “Mineral Beneficiation” in recognition of JLM’s dedication to efficient mineral beneficiation processes and the commendable 3rd Prize towards “Systematic and Scientific Development” underscoring JLM’s Commitment to systematic and scientific mine development practices.
The ME & MC Week brought together 104 mines from the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, including 69 Large Mechanized Mines, along with Medium Mechanised and Manual Mines under the jurisdiction of Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM) Hyderabad Region.

The prestigious prizes were presented by Shri R R Dongre, Regional Controller of Mines, Hyderabad Region, Indian Bureau of Mines, during the State Level program held at Hyderabad.
