Over the past nine years, the Uttar Pradesh government under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has executed a comprehensive, sustainable, and large-scale development blueprint, positioning Kashi firmly on the global tourism and investment map.

A staggering over 46.34 crore (463 million+) tourists have visited Kashi in the last nine years, driven by improved connectivity, upgraded civic infrastructure, and a renewed spiritual ecosystem. The surge reflects Kashi’s growing prominence as a global religious and cultural hub.

₹53,000+ Crore Transformation Blueprint

The city has witnessed 486 major infrastructure projects spanning roads, bridges, drinking water, sewerage systems, STPs, healthcare, education, tourism, and urban development.

  • ₹35,156 crore worth of projects completed
  • ₹17,915 crore worth of projects currently underway
  • Total investment: ₹53,071 crore

Kashi Vishwanath Corridor: A Spiritual Game-Changer

One of the most iconic developments is the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor, expanded dramatically from 3,000 sq ft to over 5 lakh sq ft at an estimated cost of ₹400 crore.

The corridor has transformed pilgrim experience, enabling seamless access between the temple and the ghats, attracting devotees from across India and the world.

Massive Push to Religious Tourism Circuits

Kashi’s spiritual ecosystem has been strengthened through multiple pilgrimage circuits and projects:
