Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway To Be Declared A National Highway

The proposed greenfield Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway will be accorded status of the National Highway. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) had sought approval from the Uttar Pradesh government for the same. The proposal has been accepted by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Soon no-objection certificate will be sent by the state government to the Govt of India in this regard.

It is to be mentioned that the DPR work of the project for the construction of 63 kilometers long Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway has been given to M/s. Aegis (India) Consulting Engineers Pvt. Ltd. It is worth mentioning that the alignment of the project has also been finalised. After this, the travel time between two major cities of the state will be reduced to 45 minutes.
