Mahanagar Gas Limited Signs MoU with Fourth Partner Energy to Expand Clean Energy Solutions for Industrial Customers

The initiative is aimed at meeting the rising demand for sustainable and environmentally responsible energy alternatives among commercial and industrial customers

In a significant move towards strengthening India’s clean energy ecosystem, Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), one of the country’s leading City Gas Distribution (CGD) companies, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fourth Partner Energy Pvt. Ltd. (FPEL), a prominent renewable energy company, to jointly explore renewable energy opportunities for commercial and industrial consumers.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Manas Das, VP (BD, STU, Commercial and BIS), MGL and Mr. Jay Kumar Waghela, CEO (Distributed Business), FPEL in the presence of Mr. Praveer Kumar Srivastava, Managing Director, MGL; Mr. Ajay Sinha, Deputy Managing Director, MGL; and Mr. Saif Dhorajiwala, Co-Founder & Executive Director, FPEL.

Under the partnership, both companies will collaborate to evaluate and develop renewable energy generation and supply solutions within MGL’s geographical areas. The initiative is aimed at meeting the rising demand for sustainable and environmentally responsible energy alternatives among commercial and industrial customers.

The collaboration will leverage the expertise and operational strengths of both organizations to provide integrated clean energy solutions aligned with India’s broader transition towards a low-carbon economy.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Praveer Kumar Srivastava, Managing Director, Mahanagar Gas Limited, said that the partnership reflects MGL’s continued commitment to expanding its clean energy portfolio and promoting sustainable development through innovative energy solutions.

“MGL is already a provider of cleaner fuel to industries and commercial establishments, and this collaboration will enable us to further explore and offer clean energy solutions to our customers. We believe this initiative will strengthen our commitment towards sustainable energy and help customers reduce their carbon footprint,” he said.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Saif Dhorajiwala, Co-Founder & Executive Director of Fourth Partner Energy, said the global energy landscape is rapidly evolving with decarbonisation at its core.
