Nationwide Protest by CPSE Executives on 16th March 2021

Core committee meeting of NCOA held on 5th of March 2021 decided to protest against public sector privatization policy of govt of India and support the National strike by the trade unions and Officers Associations of Banking and Insurance Sector against the reckless privatization move of Union Government. As every one of us are aware, entire nation is shocked over the Govt decision that bare minimum PSUs will remain only in the strategic Sector and others will either be sold off or closed. It is known to everyone that PSUs have played the major role in the infrastructural development of our nation and it ensures products and services to the public at an affordable price, while competing with private sector MNCs. Further, CPSUs could play a lead role in the Government policy of Atmanirbhar. PSU Banks and the public Sector Insurance companies like LIC are the key sectors our economic stability. Present Government decision to exit from business is part of a strategy worked out by Indian Oligarchy. As a token of our protest, we, the NCOA took a decision to observe 16th of March 2021 as Protest Day.

All the member affiliates of NCOA are requested to observe 16th of March 2021 as Protest day and wear the badges while attending duty. It is further directed that wherever possible Lunch hour demonstrations/gate meetings to be conducted and extend our support to the Banking and Insurance sector by participating in their mass programs planned at various district head quarters.
