NTPC Bongaigaon Takes Vigilance Awareness Campaign to Schools, Villages and Workers
The programmes collectively recorded 421 participations across the reported activities

NTPC Bongaigaon has extended its Three-Month Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2026 to schools, neighbouring villages and its project workforce, mobilising participation around the theme “Probity for Prosperity.” The outreach programmes focused on promoting integrity, transparency, ethical conduct and a corruption-free society.
At Bodoland Academy High School, NTPC Bongaigaon organised drawing and essay-writing competitions in the Bodo language to sensitise students about integrity and corruption-free practices. A total of 62 students from Classes I to VI participated in the drawing competition, while 63 students from Classes VII to X took part in the essay-writing competition. The Integrity Pledge was also administered in Bodo to 138 students and 12 teaching and non-teaching staff members.
The campaign was subsequently extended to neighbouring villages, with awareness programmes organised at Jalpaiguri on October 14 and Nadanguri on October 15. At Jalpaiguri, Vigilance Awareness Volunteer Khwnasar Narzary administered the Integrity Pledge to 18 villagers. At Nadanguri, Amrit Basumatary conducted a similar programme to encourage residents to uphold ethical values and contribute to a corruption-free society.
NTPC Bongaigaon also engaged its project workforce through an awareness session on October 15, highlighting ethical workplace practices, transparency and corruption prevention. The Integrity Pledge was administered to 128 workers in the presence of the Deputy General Manager (Projects), reinforcing the importance of integrity in day-to-day operations.
Through these initiatives, NTPC Bongaigaon sought to take vigilance awareness beyond the workplace and engage students, rural communities and workers in promoting ethical values. The campaign underscores the importance of collective participation in strengthening transparency, accountability and integrity across society.
