NTPC Kanti Takes Another Step Towards Women’s Empowerment
Launches five-day training program on pickle and papad making
On Thursday, NTPC Kanti launched a five-day training program on pickle and papad making for rural women at the Muzaffarpur Thermal Power Station. The program aims to promote skill development among rural women and was inaugurated by Shri A.K. Manohar, Executive Director, NTPC Kanti, and Smt. Shanti Manohar, President, Sanghmitra Mahila Mandal.
Under the program, around 100 women from villages like Kalwari, Kanti, Kolhua, and Dhamauli will receive continuous training from Khadi and Village Industries Commission experts. After the training, these women will be economically and socially empowered.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri A.K. Manohar said that empowered women are the backbone of a strong society, and economic independence is crucial for their empowerment. He expressed hope that the program would help rural women become financially independent.
The event was attended by Shri Manoj Sinha, General Manager (C&M/TS), Shri Tapas Saha, General Manager (Maint), Shri K.M. Prashant, General Manager (Corp Comm), Shri Sanjeet Kumar, Deputy General Manager (Human Resources), and Shri Nishant Kamal, Senior Manager (CSR).
