NTPC Mouda Presents Vehicle To Welfare Charitable Trust Under CSR Initiative
Vehicle is for transportation of patients from remote areas across seven districts in Vidarbha to the hospital in Nagpur
NTPC Mouda, as a part of its CSR initiatives, provided financial assistance for the acquisition of a transport vehicle to the Mahatme Eye Bank and Eye Hospital, Nagpur. This vehicle aims to facilitate the transportation of economically disadvantaged patients from remote areas across seven districts in Vidarbha – Nagpur, Gondia, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Yawatmal, Bhandara and Amravati to their hospital in Nagpur.
The inauguration of the vehicle took place on 24th February 2024, in the esteemed presence of Honorable NCBC Chairman Shri. Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Padma Shri and Former Rajya Sabha Member and founder and Medical Director of SMM Eye Welfare Charitable Trust Dr. Vikas Mahatme and Shri K. M. K Prusty, Head of the Project, NTPC Mouda.
For years, NTPC Mouda has been playing a crucial role in social welfare alongside its electricity production and CSR policies. Under its CSR initiatives, NTPC Mouda has distributed rations to tuberculosis patients, established community centers in Tarsa village, organized kabaddi tournaments in nearby villages promoting sports, and undertaken numerous other social development projects, contributing to a brighter and progressive future for society.
