NTPC Talcher Thermal Awarded Prestigious International Safety Award

In a significant achievement, NTPC Talcher Thermal Power Project has been awarded the prestigious International British Safety Council Award 2024. Shri Sanjay Kumar Gupta, AGM Safety at NTPC TTPP, received this esteemed award from Mike Robinson, Chief Executive, British Safety Council.
This honor highlights the unwavering commitment of the entire Talcher Thermal team to workplace safety for 200 employees and more than 1,500 workers at NTPC TTPP, a considerable challenge. NTPC TTPP won the award in the Merit Category, reflecting the plant’s adherence to stringent safety, health, and environmental standards. The rigorous evaluation process involved over 1,200 industries worldwide, making this award a remarkable testament to the plant’s superior safety practices.
Shri Goutam Deb, Executive Director and Head of Project at NTPC TTPP, attributed this success to the continuous efforts of all departments in promoting educated teams and implementing necessary safety precautions. He remarked, “this achievement is a result of our collective dedication towards creating a safe working environment”.
Shri J.P. Roy, GM (Projects) congratulated the entire Talcher Thermal team for their remarkable efforts and emphasized the need to continually strive to enhance safety performance. “The dedication and hard work of our teams have been instrumental in this success”, he said.
This special category award to NTPC TTPP is expected to further motivate the entire team of Talcher Thermal, strengthening their belief that with sustained efforts and strong leadership, the “Zero Incident” target can be achieved.
