The session was led by Sanjib Kumar Saha, CGM (Vindhyachal), who administered the Safety Pledge and delivered an emotionally resonant message urging workers to prioritise safety above all. He emphasised that every employee’s ultimate responsibility is to return home safely to their loved ones each day.
Senior leadership further strengthened the message with practical insights and clear directives. A.J. Rajkumar, GM (O&M), stressed the importance of adopting Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as a daily uniform. M. Suresh, GM (Maintenance & ADM), reinforced the ethos of safety with the powerful guiding principle, “Suraksha Paramo Dharma.”
Adding operational emphasis, S.K. Sinha, GM (Operation & FM), underlined the need for strict adherence to safety protocols, particularly following Tool Box Talks, and consistent usage of PPE across all activities.
Addressing seasonal challenges, Ashish Agarwal, AGM (Safety), highlighted critical precautions during the intense summer heat, urging workers to remain vigilant and look out for one another’s well-being. The session also featured valuable insights from Sandeep Kohli, AGM (EMD), and Prageet Upadhyay, AGM (BMD).
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 300 workers, reflecting strong engagement across the workforce. In recognition of exemplary safety practices, 45 safety-conscious workers nominated by respective Heads of Departments were honoured with motivation gifts.
Such Mega Pep Talks continue to serve as a crucial platform for direct interaction between outsourced workers and senior management, fostering a culture of accountability, awareness, and shared responsibility towards safety.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ashish Agarwal, AGM (Safety), who appreciated the active participation and collective commitment that made the initiative a resounding success.
