Ordnance Unions Call off Strike following Assurance from Government

The joint press release from the AIDEF, INDWF and BPMS says “Pending conciliation proceedings, government will not go ahead with the process of Corporatization of Ordnance Factories in accordance with Sec.33(1) of the ID Act of 1947. Accordingly, the proposed indefinite strike of the Ordnance Factories proposed from 12/10/2020 is hereby deferred. You are requested to conduct Gate Meetings on 10/10/2020 or on 12/10/2020 depending on the local situation and inform employees about the outcome of the conciliation proceedings.”
