Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh And Uttarakhand CM Dhami Inaugurate Shaheed Samman Yatra In Pithoragarh

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday launched the Shaheed Samman Yatra at Moonakote in Pithoragarh and also honored the families of the martyred soldiers on this occasion. Union Minister of State for Defence Shri Ajay Bhatt, Sainik Welfare Minister Shri Ganesh Joshi, Shri Bishan Singh Chufal, MP Shri Ajay Tamta, BJP State President/MLA Shri Madan Kaushik, MLA Smt. Chandra Pant were present on this occasion.

Shri Rajnath Singh while paying tributes to the martyrs said that it is our cultural tradition that those who lay down their lives for the country are considered as gods. Both the mother and the birthplace are like heaven. Uttarakhand is Dev Bhoomi, Tapobhoomi and Veer Bhoomi. The fifth Dham is becoming the military Dham in Uttarakhand. The soil of the martyr soldiers’ courtyard will come in Sainik Dham and in future also the soil of the brave sons who will be martyred for the country will also be brought to the Military Dham. There should be such a system in the Sainik Dham that the names of all the martyrs and the name of the village are mentioned in the Sainik Dham. Every street, every city of Uttarakhand is holy in itself. Construction of Sainik Dham in Uttarakhand is a good idea.

In the 1962 Indo-China war, the soldiers of the Kumaon battalion did charismatic work

Raksha Mantri said that a few days ago I had the privilege of unveiling the statue of Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali ji in Peethsain. The excitement I saw at Rejang-la was amazing. India can never forget the charismatic work done by 124 soldiers of the 13th Battalion of Kumaon in the 1962 Indo-China war. When we heard the saga of his valor and valor, I decided to go there. A grand monument has been built there. Every citizen of India should have a feeling of respect for the families of martyrs.

Every effort was made by the Central Government to solve the problems of soldiers, ex-servicemen and their families

Rajnath Singh added that the One Rank One Pension (OROP) problem of our ex-servicemen was solved by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Every effort has been made by the government for the problems of soldiers and their families. Battle Casualty has been increased from 02 Lakh to 08 Lakh. Continuous efforts have been made by the government to solve every problem of ex-servicemen also. Whatever has to be done for the honor of the soldiers, the government is always ready for that. As 75 years of independence are being completed, India is celebrating Amrit Mahotsav with great pomp and show. A grand program was organized in Jhansi on the birth anniversary of Rani Laxmibai.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is batting at a fast pace- Union Defence Minister

Raksha Mantri also appreciated the efforts of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for taking more than 400 decisions in the state and public interest in four months. Three army helicopters of the army were sent from the central government to Uttarakhand, due to which we were able to save the lives of more than 500 people. We visited the disaster-prone areas continuously and every effort was made to solve the problems of the people.
