The fervor of International Women’s Day resonated through RINL (Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited) on March 8, 2024, in a lively and all-encompassing celebration. Under the theme “Invest in Women and Accelerate Progress,” the event underscored a steadfast commitment to advancing the role of women in the workplace. The WIPS Committee (2022-24) orchestrated a variety of competitions, including poetry, essays, poster painting, rangoli, quizzes, and sports, offering a diverse array of activities to engage women employees.
The presence of Guest Speaker Smt. Dr. Anita Rao, Director of the School of LAW, GITAM, added significant value to the proceedings. Her motivational speech highlighted the importance of investing in women to unlock a plethora of possibilities. She appreciated the women employees of RINL for choosing a career in Steel Industry. She also applauded the efforts of RINL management for encouraging and motivating the women power in the organization.

The felicitation of 17 women achievers underscored the profound recognition of women’s contributions. The unveiling of the RINL WIPS annual magazine “DISHA,” showcasing the achievements and talents of women employees, further emphasized the commitment to celebrating and spotlighting their success.
The presence of Smt. Nupur Bhatt, President, Visteel Mahila Samiti, Smt.Anju Mohanty, Vice President, Visteel Mahila Samiti, Sri U.Sridhar, CGM (Maintenance & Mills) , Dr KH Prakash, CGM (Medical & Health Services), Shri G Gandhi, CGM (HR) and senior officers from RINL, demonstrated the organization’s strong support for gender inclusivity. The participation of over 300 women employees, alongside representatives from trade unions, VMS, OBC, SC/ST associations, significantly contributed to the resounding success of the celebration.
