RINL Provides Skill Training To Divyangan

Cutting & Tailoring including Dress Making (60 beneficiaries) of 3 months duration and Home Needs

Skill Development Training Programme to People with Disabilities (Divyangan) was inaugurated by Shri A Ashok, GM (CSR), RINL, Visakhapatnam steel plant on Tuesday. The programme is aimed at empowering 100 “Divyangan” residing in the surrounding villages of the Plant and other areas of Visakhapatnam with the required skills to earn a better livelihood.

The Skill development training is being organised through Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) set up by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India at training centers located at MVP colony, Peda Waltair and Sujatha Nagar at Visakhapatnam.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri A Ashok, GM(CSR),RINL advised the beneficiaries to make full use of the opportunity to skill themselves ,thereby enhance their income. “RINL has always been in the forefront in terms of extending support to the differently abled persons in the surrounding villages of Plant through various CSR initiatives like providing education to differently abled children through Arunodaya Special School, providing artificial limbs, calipers, tricycles to PWDs etc. and thereby improving their quality of life”, Shri Ashok added.

Training in trades viz. Cutting & Tailoring including Dress Making (60 beneficiaries) of 3 months duration and Home Needs i.e., Phenyl, Agarbathi, Cleaning & Detergent powder, Liquid Blue and Candle Making (40 beneficiaries) of 2 months duration will be provided to the beneficiaries.

Shri TV Ramana Rao, DGM(CSR),RINL, program Coordinators of JSS and the beneficiaries of the training program attended the function.
