Robin Gangte, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Reviews TMCP Activities in BCCL’s CV Area

Robin Gangte, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Coal, today, inspected the Amalgamated Chanch UG and Laikdih Deep UG Mines, along with the CMPDI Exploration Site at Laikdih Deep under the CV Area of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL). The visit was aimed at reviewing activities being undertaken under the Temporary Mine Closure Plan (TMCP).
The visit commenced at the CV Area Office, where a detailed presentation was made on the progress of TMCP-related activities. Various aspects of mine closure, including current status, future action plans, timelines, quality standards, and monitoring mechanisms, were discussed in detail.
Subsequently, the team carried out a site inspection of the Amalgamated Chanch UG and Laikdih Deep UG mines to assess the progress of mine closure works. During the inspection, ongoing activities under the Temporary Mine Closure Plan were reviewed, and officials were directed to ensure completion of all works within the stipulated timeframe and in accordance with prescribed standards.
In the final leg of the visit, the CMPDI Exploration Site at Laikdih Deep was inspected. The team reviewed ongoing exploration activities and emphasized future prospects for mine operations and the effective utilization of mineral resources.
