SCOPE, GIZ Strengthen Partnership on Sustainability and Climate Action
The deliberations also mapped out strategic future collaborations aimed at accelerating climate action across PSUs

Reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and climate leadership, the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) convened a high-level meeting with the GIZ India delegation to deepen collaboration on climate action and green transformation initiatives.
The meeting was led by Atul Sobti, Director General, SCOPE, and Ulrike Ebeling, Country Director, GIZ India, along with senior officials from both organisations.
Discussions focused on strengthening the ongoing partnership to support Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in key areas such as climate mitigation, industrial decarbonisation, knowledge exchange, and capacity building for climate resilience. Both sides reviewed the progress of existing initiatives and explored opportunities to scale up joint efforts.
The deliberations also mapped out strategic future collaborations aimed at accelerating climate action across PSUs. Emphasis was laid on enhancing technical capabilities, fostering innovation, and enabling a structured transition towards low-carbon operations within the public sector.
The SCOPE–GIZ partnership continues to play a pivotal role in guiding PSUs towards sustainable growth, aligning with India’s broader climate commitments and long-term environmental goals.
