Sikh Community Thanks PM Modi Through Uttarakhand CM Dhami For Getting Back Sri Guru Granth Sahib From Afghanistan
Ardas was performed for the first time in the Chief Minister's assembly office and Kadha prasad was distributed
On Saturday, the President and representatives of Gurudwaras of Dehradun met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s Office Auditorium in the Vidhan Sabha. They thanked the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, through the Chief Minister, for safely transporting the form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib from Afghanistan to India. On this occasion, Ardas was performed for the first time in the Chief Minister’s assembly office and Kadha prasad was distributed. A shawl and a kirpan were also presented to the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the country’s prestige has increased in the world. The safe return of Indians from Afghanistan is being ensured. The state government is in touch with the Ministry of External Affairs to bring the people of Uttarakhand safely from there. Many persons have been brought back. The Chief Minister said that he is with the Sikh society every moment and whenever needed, they would find him on their side.
On this occasion MLA Mr. Rajesh Shukla, President of Uttarakhand Sikh Development Council, Mr. Baljit Soni, Mr. Guru Singh, Sabha President, Mr. Gurbaksh Singh, Mr. Gulzar Singh, Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Mr. Surendra Batra, Mr. Jagminder Singh Chhabra, Mr. Charanjit Singh, Mr. Sewa Singh Matharu and others were present.
