The Newly Elected SEA Committee To Take Charge At SEA Bhawan On July 02

New committee to pursue issues with main focus on promotions and pay revision in RINL

During the discussions Management has informed old promotions policy has been abolished as per the Directions of MoS in Board meeting in September 21 and same has informed to SEA committee at that time and new policy has approved by sub-committee in March 22 and pending in Board because of some approval required form Government Directors. At the same time the committee told to the Management that till the new policy approved, promotions should be given as per old policy.

And its understood that for immediate release of promotions, the committee needs to pursue with Secretary steel, Additional Secretaries and other Govt Directors. In this regard we came to know Hon’ble MoS, Secretaries and other Directors are attending meeting in Tirupati ( Consultative Committee Meeting of Ministry of steel) with MOS on 1st July 22 .

The elected GS yesterday rushed to Tirupati and met today i.e 1st July 2022, Hon’ble Union Minister of Steel Shri Ramchandra Prasad Singh and Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Honble MoS (Steel) , Secretary Steel Shri Sri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Additional Secretary Steel Ms. Ruchika Chaudhry Govil other other Government Directors in presence of RINL senior officers and represented the above issues and immediate release of Promotions, Relaxation of affordability clause, and they assured that will give directions to Management.

At the same time keeping in present situation of RINL the committee is also pursuing with MPs, MLCs for RINL merger with SAIL. The new committee also appealed to SAIL Chairperson Ms. Soma Mondal and BJP Durg MP Shri Vijay Baghel on RINL_ SAIL merger issue.
