Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced to remove the word “East Pakistan” from the caste certificate issued to displaced Bengali community in Udham Singh Nagar district and make Shakti Farm a sub-tehsil. Along with Shakti Farm, the Chief Minister has also assured speedy resolution of various public problems of Sitarganj area. The residents of the area have also been assured of coming to Shakti Farm soon.

On Thursday, a large number of people met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami under the leadership of MLA Sitarganj Shri Saurabh Bahuguna. Local public representatives and other people apprised the Chief Minister about their problem. The main demand of the residents of Shaktifarm was the removal of the word East Pakistan from the caste certificate issued to the displaced Bengali community, which they have been demanding for years. He also demanded the establishment of sub-tehsil in Shakti Farm for the convenience of the people of the area.

The Chief Minister, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, listening to the problems of everyone, said that the word East Pakistan would be removed from the caste certificate issued to the displaced Bengali community. He said that its proposal would also be brought in the cabinet soon. For the convenience of the residents, the Chief Minister also announced the opening of sub-tehsil in Shakti Farm. On the request of the regional people, the Chief Minister assured to visit the Shakti Farm soon.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that he is aware of the problems of the entire region including Sitarganj. He said that soon along with the mining policy, changes would also be made in the policies for the convenience of the entrepreneurs.

The Chief Minister said that instructions have been given to the officials to ensure that the residents of the area get the benefits of all the schemes of the Central and State Governments. He said that strict instructions have been given to the district magistrates to solve the problems of the district in the district itself, so that people do not have to make unnecessary rounds of the government for their work. Instructions have also been given to all the officers to meet the public regularly for two hours from 10 am to 12 noon and solve their problems.
He said that department-wise targets have been set so that maximum self-employment opportunities are available to the people. The Chief Minister said that soon a separate package would also be announced for 40 thousand self-help groups in the state. The Chief Minister also talked about setting up a Growth Center at Shakti Farm.

The Chief Minister said that our agenda is not elections, but holistic development of all the areas of the state. We are also issuing mandates along with announcements. The scheme for which the foundation stone will be laid, it will also be inaugurated. We believe in solving tasks not in complicating them. We will talk less and work more. He asked everyone to be cooperative in the development of the state and region. He said that the development of the state is the responsibility of all of us. The Chief Minister said that Tehsil Days would be ensured in the state. In government functioning, we have made a rule to develop a system of no pendency.
