Top Office Bearers Of SEA And SEFI Met Rajya Sabha MP G.V.L. Narasimha Rao

Requested to take up RINL executives issues and Visakhapatnam steel issues with the government on urgent basis as RINL entered SOS situation

President and Secretaries of Steel Executives Association, SEFI Chairman and General Secretary met Rajya Sabha MP Sri GVL Narasimha Rao ji and requested to take up RINL executives issues and Visakhapatnam steel issues on high priority as RINL facing SOS situation.

They explained to Honorable MP Shri G.V.L. Narasimha Rao regarding the immediate revival of promotions as they were completely stopped for the last two years which is are why many are leaving the PSU. They hailed from premier institutes like IITs NITs and IIMs. And also pending PRP should be paid to the officers for FY 2021-22, along with the 18 months PRP kept pending to E5 above since past 8 years and the salaries should be paid on time.

SEA and SEFI urged for merger of SAIL and RINL as permanent solution to the problem of iron ore mines and working capital. They requested Honorable MP to take immediate steps to start production of the third blast furnace. For this, SAIL should give raw materials or financial assistance, instead buy steel products from Visakhapatnam.

Hon’ble MP Shri G.V.L. Narshimham Rao responded immediately and discussed with Secretary Steel Shri Nagendra Nath Simha and requested to take immediate action on the above issues with in presence of SEA and SEFI.

A memorandum jointly signed by Steel Executives Association, all party unions, SC, ST and OBC associations and a presentation made by the Steel Executives Association regarding the merger of SAIL Visakha Steel was presented to the Steel Secretary by Shri G.V.L. Narasimha Rao, SEFI Chairman Shri Narendra Banchor and Secretary Shri Malik participated in the event.

Hon’ble MP Shri G.V.L. Narasimha Rao, responded immediately and took it to the attention of the government in the Rajya Sabha and said that he would also discuss these issues with the Union Minister of Steel.
