Ujjwala 2.0 ‘Rath On Wheels’ Flagged-Off From Gorakhpur

Speeding up the distribution of connections of Ujjwala 2.0, Dr. Uttiya Bhattacharyya, Executive Director & State Head, IndianOil, UPSO-1 and State Level Coordinator for OMCs in UP, today flagged-off four ‘Ujjwala 2.0, Rath on Wheels’, an exclusive initiative of IndianOil, UPSO-1, from Gorakhpur in presence of Mr. Arun Prasad, General Manager (LPG), UPSO-1, Mr. N K Srivastava, GM (LPG-Sales), UPSO-1, Mr. Munish Gupta, Divisional LPG Sales Head, Indane Gorakhpur Sales Area and other IndianOil officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bhattacharyya said, “This Rath has been specially designed for the convenience of the underprivileged household women residing in the rural interiors of UP. The prime aim of this initiative is to release new LPG connections under Ujjwala 2.0 to the eligible beneficiaries from the announced districts of Sonbhadra, Banda, Mahoba, Chitrakoot, Rae Bareli, Hardoi, Amethi, Fatehpur under UP State Office-1, in the first phase. Equipped with a laptop, bio-metric device to update e-KYC, the chariot is powered with a modern solar panel, which gives power backup to the inverter running the Rath”. “Along with this, the Rath on Wheels would also create awareness about the correct and safe usage of LPG. It will also inform the public about the features of 5 kg FTL & non-FTL cylinder, ‘Chhotu’, 19 kg commercial LPG and the modern Xtra-Tej LPG as well”, he said.
