Due to this, big companies in the pharma sector are eager to invest on a large scale in the state. In this sequence, four leading pharma companies of Telangana have prepared to invest crores of rupees in the state. Besides, these companies are also committed to working on the roadmap for the development of drug and medical parks and making Uttar Pradesh the hub of the pharma sector. It is noteworthy that on January 18, Yogi government had organized Pharma Conclave in Hyderabad. In this, awareness was spread about the promotion of drug and pharma manufacturing culture in Uttar Pradesh and the facilities being provided along with the pharma policy made by the government. This is the reason that Uttar Pradesh, which was facing the brunt of neglect in the previous governments, is now moving rapidly on the path of becoming the growth engine of the country in the drug and pharma sector with the widespread presence of big pharma companies.
Pharma Conclave becomes a medium to attract investment
Through the Pharma Conclave organized on January 18 in Hyderabad, the Yogi government had expressed its intention to develop the state as a drug and pharma manufacturing cluster and make it a big hub. The event paved the way for investment by holding personal meetings with the leadership of interested investors. As a result, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories expressed interest in setting up a research laboratory near the Medical Device Park at YEIDA or at another strategic location in Noida/Greater Noida. Additionally, they have shown interest in exploring investment opportunities within the Bulk Drug Park in Lalitpur, which requires more than 150 acres of land. At the same time, interest has been expressed in setting up a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Greater Noida. They have also shown interest in setting up a biotech laboratory and a manufacturing unit in the Medical Device Park, Noida or Greater Noida.
Vince Bioproducts Limited (VBL) and Rollwell Industries also expressed interest
VBL and Rollvel Industries have also expressed interest in developing the state as a drug and pharma manufacturing cluster and making it a big hub. VBL expressed its desire to set up a research laboratory for extracting snake venom antiserum at Medical Device Park, Noida or nearby area, with an estimated investment of about Rs 10-15 crore and land requirement of about 5-10 acres. Has been. Meanwhile, Rockwell Industries has expressed its interest in setting up a manufacturing facility within the Medical Device Park in Noida, with a primary emphasis on vaccine carriers, along with the intention to integrate specific supporting units. The land required to set up the plant is around 35-40 acres, and the total investment is estimated to be Rs 400-500 crore.
