In view of the hilly terrain in the state of Uttarakhand, the relevance of roadways is very important in the all-round development of the state as roads act as a life line in the development of the state. In view of the high cost of construction of roads and bridges in the hilly areas of the state due to extreme geographical conditions and less availability of time for construction during the year, the assistance provided by the Government of India to the state government will certainly prove helpful for the development of the state.
