A spacious concessionaire area covering 850 square meters offers a diverse range of retail and dining options for travelers.
Tactile path provisions have been made to ensure accessibility and ease of navigation for passengers with visual impairments.
On the city side of the terminal, there are 150 car parking spaces and 2 bus parking spaces, providing ample parking facilities for commuters.

Kanpur is known for its leather, textile, and defense production industries, as well as its historical and holy spots and premier educational institutions. With the improved facilities at the new terminal, Kanpur is expected to be connected to more cities within Uttar Pradesh and other parts of the country.
The terminal building at the new civil enclave incorporates various sustainability features, including a double insulated roofing system, energy-saving canopies, LED lighting, low heat gain double glazing units, rainwater harvesting, water treatment and sewage treatment plants, and the use of recycled water for landscaping. It also includes a solar power plant with a capacity of 100 KWp, aiming to achieve GRIHA–IV ratings, a national green building rating system in India.
The façade of the Terminal Building, both on the city and airside, depicts the architecture of the famous JK Temple in Kanpur. The interiors of the Terminal Building showcase local themes such as textiles, leather industries, and renowned public figures from Kanpur, like poet Shyamlal Gupta and sage Maharishi Valmiki. The design aims to integrate the culture and heritage of Kanpur and Uttar Pradesh, providing visitors with a sense of the region’s rich culture and history.
