Sugs Lloyd Wins ₹85.45 Lakh Power Grid Modernization Contract from Gujarat’s DGVCL
Executed on a turnkey basis, the project is scheduled for completion within two months of mobilization

Sugs Lloyd Limited, a diversified EPC power company, has bagged a turnkey contract worth ₹85.45 lakh from Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL), one of Gujarat’s leading power distribution utilities. The project entails the supply, installation, and commissioning of advanced Fault Passage Indicators (FPIs) to modernize DGVCL’s distribution network.
The contract underscores Sugs Lloyd’s growing footprint in Gujarat, a priority market for India’s evolving power infrastructure. By deploying state-of-the-art FPIs across 7 KV to 13 KV overhead lines, the project aims to enhance grid resilience, cut outage times, and improve operational efficiency—aligning with national objectives for a more reliable and smarter grid.
Executed on a turnkey basis, the project is scheduled for completion within two months of mobilization. The FPIs will be installed at critical intervals to enable real-time fault detection and location, helping DGVCL minimize revenue losses from prolonged outages while boosting consumer satisfaction.
“For Sugs Lloyd, this is a strategic win that reinforces our position as a trusted partner in grid modernization,” said Mr. Santosh Shah, Chairman, Sugs Lloyd. “It reflects our ability to deliver high-impact EPC solutions that not only drive operational excellence for our clients but also advance India’s broader power sector modernization.”
Mr. Satyakam Basu, CEO, Sugs Lloyd, added, “Gujarat is a benchmark state for power distribution in India, and expanding our presence here is a key objective. This project with DGVCL validates our execution capabilities and engineering expertise in grid automation. It also provides a scalable model that can be replicated with other utilities across India as they invest in resilience and smart grid technologies.”
