76th Constitution Day Celebrated at CCL Headquarters with Pride and Unity
The ceremony commenced with the Coal India Corporate Song, followed by the presentation of mementos to the CMD, Directors, and CVO

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) commemorated the 76th Constitution Day at its Headquarters with profound national pride, unity, and enthusiasm. The celebration began with a floral tribute to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution. Present on the occasion were CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh, Director (Finance) Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (Human Resources) Harsh Nath Mishra, Chief Vigilance Officer Pankaj Kumar, and a large number of employees.

The ceremony commenced with the Coal India Corporate Song, followed by the presentation of mementos to the CMD, Directors, and CVO. Welcoming the gathering, Mr. V.P. Joby, GM (Legal), highlighted the historical significance of Constitution Day and also announced the launch of an e-journal based on service-related case law.
Leading a public reading of the Preamble to the Constitution, CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh stated that the Constitution serves as a strong framework for safeguarding citizens’ rights. He emphasized the spirit of collective responsibility, mutual respect, and unity, adding that India is progressing with strength and CCL will continue to uphold its duties with integrity.

Director (Finance) Pawan Kumar Mishra praised the newly launched e-journal and reiterated that the foundation of the Constitution lies in justice, liberty, and equality. He urged employees to integrate these values into administrative practices and organizational culture.
Director (Human Resources) Harsh Nath Mishra described the Constitution as the “soul of India”, stressing the importance of adhering to constitutional principles. Citing “Justice delayed is justice denied,” he said the strength of India lies in the fact that its citizens live the Constitution, not merely read it.
CVO Pankaj Kumar elaborated on the significance of the Constitution and its role in protecting people’s rights through democratic laws. Highlighting the Constitution’s four pillars—Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity—he said it is the responsibility of every citizen to help the next generation understand these values.
To mark the 150th anniversary of the iconic song “Vande Mataram,” a soulful rendition was presented. A Constitution-based quiz competition also witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees. The program concluded with the National Anthem, marking a dignified end to the celebration.
