Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Gujarat CM to Address Earth Summit 2025–26 in Gandhinagar
The summit aims to bring together policymakers, industry experts, AgriTech and RuralTech innovators, cooperatives, women entrepreneurs, and community leaders

The second edition of the Earth Summit 2025–26, jointly organised by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), is set to take place on December 5–6, 2025, at the Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar. Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, will address the Summit, alongside the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendrabhai Patel.
Other prominent leaders participating in the event include Jitubhai Savjibhai Vaghani, Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of Gujarat; Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India; and Mr. Shaji K.V., Chairman, NABARD.
The Gandhinagar edition, themed “Empowering Rural Innovation for Global Change,” aims to bring together policymakers, industry experts, AgriTech and RuralTech innovators, cooperatives, women entrepreneurs, and community leaders. The Summit will explore how technology integration—along with strong cooperative frameworks—can accelerate India’s rural transformation.
With an expected footfall of over 5,000 attendees, the two-day conference will feature 80 exhibitors, 30+ knowledge sessions, 200+ participating cooperatives, 150+ AgriTech and RuralTech innovators, and several live demonstrations of emerging technologies. The event will highlight how digital tools and tech-led solutions can enhance productivity, create sustainable livelihoods, expand market access, and drive inclusive growth across rural India.
Mr. Manikumar S., Chief General Manager, NABARD, emphasised the transformative moment for India’s rural sector. “India’s rural economy is entering a decisive phase where technology, innovation and the cooperative network can together accelerate meaningful change. At NABARD, we are focused on becoming a tech-enabled catalyst—enhancing digital infrastructure, equipping Rural Cooperative Banks with modern capabilities, and creating an environment where farmers, cooperatives and rural entrepreneurs can grow with confidence,” he said. “The Earth Summit is an important platform that brings all stakeholders together to shape a development roadmap that is inclusive, resilient and ready for the future.”
Echoing this vision, Mr. Gaurav Chopra, Senior Vice President, IAMAI, said, “The Gandhinagar chapter of the Earth Summit highlights how digital innovation, when integrated with the cooperative movement, can reshape India’s rural economy. Our aim is to enable collaboration between the cooperative sector and the digital ecosystem so that new tools, platforms, and models of governance can reach the last mile.”
The Earth Summit 2025–26 is being held across three cities and will conclude with a national-level event in New Delhi in February 2026.
