BPCL Strengthens Energy Supply Security and Infrastructure Through Strategic Partnerships at India Energy Week 2026

Company signs key crude supply, gas transport, LPG safety and ATF pipeline agreements to boost India’s energy security

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) announced a series of strategic collaborations at India Energy Week 2026, reinforcing its commitment to supply security, infrastructure expansion and innovation across its integrated energy portfolio.

As part of its crude sourcing diversification strategy, BPCL signed a term contract with Trafigura for the supply of Iraqi and Omani crude oil, further strengthening India’s energy security.

To expand access to key national gas corridors, BPCL entered into Gas Transportation Agreements with GSPL India Gasnet Limited (GIGL) and GSPL India Transco Limited (GITL). The agreements were signed by Rakesh Kumar Sinha, Chief General Manager (Sourcing, Logistics & Marketing), BPCL, and Prakash Karnik, CEO, GIGL & GITL.

In the LPG segment, BPCL signed an agreement with Alpala India Pvt. Ltd. for the adoption of patented tamper-proof PFS seals to enhance LPG cylinder safety. The agreement was signed by T. V. Pandiyan, Business Head (LPG), BPCL.

Further strengthening aviation fuel infrastructure, BPCL also signed an agreement with GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) to develop a 56-km dedicated Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) pipeline from Malkapur to Hyderabad Airport. The agreement was signed by Sujit Kumar, Chief General Manager – Marketing (Aviation), BPCL, and Ashish Kumar, Chief Commercial Officer, GHIAL.

Through these partnerships, BPCL continues to advance supply resilience, safety standards and infrastructure modernisation, underscoring its role in shaping India’s evolving energy ecosystem.
