Public sector tourism major records robust Q3 FY26 growth as event management, MICE, travel services and digital transformation gain momentum

India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, has reported a robust financial performance for the third quarter of FY 2025–26, driven by improved operational efficiencies and rising traction across its core business verticals.
During the quarter, ITDC recorded a strong turnaround in turnover, marking a 54 per cent increase over the previous quarter and a 28 per cent growth compared to Q3 of the previous financial year. The performance reflects sustained financial discipline and steady quarter-on-quarter momentum across the Corporation’s diversified operations.
The results highlight consistent growth across ITDC’s fully integrated, end-to-end tourism and hospitality ecosystem. The Corporation operates on a comprehensive 360-degree business model encompassing hospitality services, air travel, premium car and coach rentals, event management, duty-free operations, tourism infrastructure engineering and capacity building in the hospitality sector.
Q3 FY26 witnessed notable traction in high-growth segments such as event management, travel and tours, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions), weddings and institutional catering, reinforcing ITDC’s evolving role as a comprehensive tourism services provider. The Corporation also continued to strengthen technology integration and data-led decision-making, with focused initiatives around digital systems, analytics and enhanced customer-centric service delivery.
Commenting on the performance, Ms. Mugdha Sinha, IAS, Managing Director, ITDC, said that the Corporation is entering a transformative phase aligned with key institutional milestones.
“As ITDC advances into the next phase of its growth journey—coinciding with 60 years of the Corporation and 70 years of The Ashok—it continues to prioritise strategic transformation, digital enablement, asset optimisation and sustainability-led practices. These initiatives are expected to enhance operational efficiencies, stakeholder value and long-term sustainable growth, aligned with the Government’s vision for tourism development. As we move towards Amrit Kaal, ITDC remains committed to balancing its legacy with innovation and collaborative models that strengthen the tourism ecosystem,” she said.
According to the Corporation, the quarter-on-quarter improvement has been supported by sharper business alignment, strengthened operational planning and an increased emphasis on personalised and integrated service delivery. ITDC has also focused on optimising asset performance and driving demand-led growth across its portfolio.
With tourism demand steadily recovering and institutional events gaining momentum, ITDC expects its integrated service offerings, digital initiatives and asset optimisation strategy to support sustained growth in the coming quarters.
