NHAI to Revise FASTag Annual Pass Fee from 1st April 2026 for FY 2026–27

The fee will increase from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 3,075

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced a revision in the applicable fee for the FASTag Annual Pass for the financial year 2026–27. The fee will increase from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 3,075 and will come into effect from 1 April 2026.

According to NHAI, the revision has been carried out in accordance with the provisions of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008, which governs the determination and collection of toll charges on national highways across the country.

The FASTag Annual Pass is gaining popularity among private vehicle owners, with more than 56 lakh users already opting for the facility. The revised fee will apply to eligible non-commercial vehicles equipped with a valid FASTag and will allow them to use the pass at nearly 1,150 fee plazas located on National Highways and National Expressways.

The Annual Pass offers convenience to frequent highway users by eliminating the need for regular FASTag recharges. Instead, users can pay a one-time fee to avail unlimited usage for one year or up to 200 toll plaza crossings, whichever comes earlier. The pass is valid for all non-commercial vehicles that have an active FASTag linked to the vehicle.

After payment of the one-time fee through the Rajmarg Yatra App or the official website of NHAI, the annual pass is activated on the existing FASTag linked to the vehicle within approximately two hours.

The FASTag Annual Pass scheme was launched on 15 August 2025 and has received a strong response from highway users across the country. Officials say the initiative aims to provide a more convenient and cost-effective travel option for motorists using India’s rapidly expanding national highway and expressway network.
