NTPC Mouda Concludes National Safety Month 2026 with Strong Commitment to Safety Excellence

The station continues to move towards its goals of ‘Zero Harm’, ‘Zero Accident’, and sustainable business excellence

NTPC Mouda has successfully concluded the observance of National Safety Month 2026, held from March 4 to March 31, with a series of impactful initiatives aimed at strengthening safety awareness, enhancing risk preparedness, and reinforcing a robust safety culture across the station.

The month-long programme commenced with an opening ceremony that featured flag hoisting, the NTPC Geet, administration of the safety pledge, a safety awareness rally, and a safety skit. Senior leadership, including Joseph Bastian, Head of Project, along with General Managers of Operations & Maintenance, Maintenance, Projects, and officials from the Safety Department, addressed employees and emphasized the organization’s unwavering commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and zero-accident workplace. The leadership reiterated alignment with NTPC Limited’s broader vision of operational excellence.

A diverse range of employee engagement and capability-building activities marked the observance. These included safety slogan and suggestion competitions, safety quizzes, Katha-Sagar sessions, PPE competitions, risk assessment video exercises, structured training programmes, mega pep-talks, and targeted awareness campaigns.

Special initiatives such as the Safe Behaviour Recognition Scheme (SBRS) for contract workers, kitchen safety training sessions organized by the Ladies Club, and live fire demonstration exercises further strengthened the station’s proactive and inclusive safety framework.

The closing ceremony was highlighted by the distribution of awards, sharing of key safety performance insights, and a CPR-based safety skit that underscored the importance of emergency preparedness and life-saving awareness.

NTPC Mouda reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of industrial safety, operational discipline, and workforce well-being. Through sustained investments in safety systems, training, and behavioural reinforcement, the station continues to move towards its goals of ‘Zero Harm’, ‘Zero Accident’, and sustainable business excellence.
