CISF conducts flag march in Sijua Siding to secure BCCL assets, curb coal theft
BCCL management lauded the CISF’s proactive initiative

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Katras Region-4, carried out a strategic flag march in the Sijua Siding area under the Sijua Area of Bharat Coking Coal Limited to strengthen asset security and crack down on coal theft.
The operation covered Sijua Siding, nearby sensitive zones, and key transportation routes linked to the AKWM Colliery. CISF personnel conducted intensive patrolling, reinforcing vigilance across critical points vulnerable to illegal activities.

The visible deployment of security forces acted as a strong deterrent to anti-social elements and sent a clear message against illegal mining, coal pilferage, and unauthorized transportation.
BCCL management lauded the CISF’s proactive initiative, emphasizing that safeguarding company assets—considered vital national assets—remains a top priority. Officials noted that such coordinated efforts significantly enhance operational security and efficiency.

The management further stated that regular joint operations with CISF will continue to curb unlawful activities in the region. As a key contributor to India’s energy sector, BCCL plays a crucial role in ensuring national energy security, making the protection of its infrastructure imperative.

Close coordination with local administration and security agencies is also being maintained to ensure sustained vigilance and effective enforcement on the ground.
