BCCL Organises One-Day SAP ERP Workshop for C&AG Officers at Koyla Bhawan

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) organised a one-day SAP ERP workshop for officers of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India at its Koyla Bhawan headquarters, aimed at strengthening audit efficiency and digital capabilities.
The training programme was presided over by Rajesh Kumar, Director (Finance), and witnessed participation from senior officials including M.S. Raju, General Manager (Finance), Head of Department (Internal Audit), and members of the BCCL ERP team, including Shweta Singh.

A total of ten audit officers participated in the workshop under the leadership of Rakesh Kumar Sinha, Deputy Director from the Office of the Director General of Audit (Mining & Coal), Kolkata.
Hands-on ERP Training Across Key Functional Areas
The sessions were conducted by BCCL officials Rohit Kumar (Manager, Materials Management), Ashok Kumar Pal (Manager, Human Resources), Amit Kumar (Deputy Manager, Finance), and Sumendra Singh (Deputy Manager, Finance), along with experts from Accenture.
Participants received practical and structured training on ERP-based applications across multiple domains, including:

- Production and Planning
- Maintenance
- Sales

ERP Key to Transparency and Efficiency: Director (Finance)
In his address, Rajesh Kumar highlighted the growing importance of ERP-based systems in today’s technology-driven environment. He noted that adopting computerized accounting and integrated ERP solutions enhances transparency, accountability, and decision-making speed.
He further underlined BCCL’s critical role in India’s energy ecosystem and reiterated the company’s commitment to implementing ERP systems across all functional areas to improve financial accuracy, optimise resources, standardise processes, and strengthen monitoring mechanisms.
Audit Efficiency to Improve with ERP Exposure
Rakesh Kumar Sinha appreciated BCCL’s initiative, stating that exposure to ERP-based applications would significantly enhance the effectiveness of audit processes. He thanked the BCCL management and trainers for organising the workshop.
The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participants, marking a successful step toward knowledge enhancement and institutional capacity building.
